Oops, I should be packing now.. I also still have to shower and wash my hair and do all the other stuff a girl does before she goes on vacation
I had to go all the way to Utrecht today, just to move my bike!!! They built a new department for our bikes and you had to move your bike to the new complex before the 5th of August, otherwise it was ‘bye bye bike’. Not entirely true, but it would be a big pain in the ass to get your bike back after that date. Seeing as the 5th is probably the day we get back, there wasn’t really a way to move my back then. So I had to do it today. Got a little preview of how hot it will be in the car!! Blegh, not funny. The new department looks quite need. There are three different compartments for 3 sets of floors. And they all have different locks, so that’s quite safe.
Oh it’s also my mums birthday today, so I guess I’m going to have to eat some cake.. I did so well the last couple of weeks, didn’t eat one ‘bad’ thing (except one day during “the week”, don’t ask if you don’t understand
), and it’s hard!
I could go on and on with useless bull, but I’ll end with a picture of my grandma and I. I took it last week when she came to Utrecht with my dad. Did I mention she’s 88 and still lives on her own? In a flat by the sea

That’s all! I’ll miss you and my internet, but I’m sure I’ll deal with it
Oh, I’ll promise I’ll have some colour on my face when I get back, I’m so pale now!

It’s official, I’m Heroes crazy! I only have two episodes left and the title of the season finale is “How to stop an exploding man”. (no spoilers please!)
Last night I even watched an episode in bed, on my tiny little iPod screen..
Anywayzz.. tonight I exploded. To/at/because of my mum. I won’t go into detail on here, because it’s all quite personal, or at least it ended up being very personal, but it’s all good now. I’m fucking happy about that since we’re going on vacation for two weeks. After a 1400km car ride, so it’s nice to be all happy with each other
Let me tell that it was very heavy though, I had never experienced this before. I knew I had a whole lot of rage and anger in me, but I had never let it out like this. And boy I love to swear haha.
All this happened yesterday and ever since I barely spoke a word, only when necessary. Spent the majority of last night and today in my room, just hanging on my bed, feeling very shitty. After dinner I decided it might be a good idea to go for a walk. It ended up to be more than 1,5 hours and I saw places of my ‘hometown’ that I had never seen before. There’s a fucking badass villa-complex, facing the water. I never knew about that thing, so when I got home I looked it up and the apartments are €5000,- a month!! On the 6th floor there’s a pool and each apartment (3 rooms) has 2 bedrooms!!! Which is very uncommon over here, hence my surprise.
I felt very good having made such a long walk, I’ll probably feel my legs/ass tomorrow because I’m not quite used to this. I’m planning on doing a lot of walking on vacation though. There’s supposed to be a beautiful big national park close to where we stay, so that should be fun! Hopefully I can develop some photography skills, because I’m seriously lacking those!
Oh that brings an idea to my mind (who would’ve thought eh?). Maybe it will be fun for you cool people to give me sort of tasks of what I should take a picture of. Like a sort of hunt for me, to try to find something like that. I know you guys are creative, so help me out!

Since this is my second Saturday this year that I don’t have to work, I forgot that you can actually do a lot on this day. I woke up around 10 (which is normal, since I usually start work at 13:00), took things very easy. Eventually got dressed, had coffee for the second time and finally around 13:45 my mum and I went to the city centre to look around for some clothes.
Of course Saturdays are always madness in the centre. I hate it, but it wasn’t too bad. Bought another pair of 3/4th pants and a nice lacy-ish top and… a new tooth brush.
We got home around 17:15, and when I sat at the couch, watching TV I almost fell asleep
That’s all I did really… and now I’m here again. I think I’m going to watch another Heroes episode, somehow they really make the endings so that you immediately want to see the next one. (yes I know, that’s how TV shows work, but normally you have to wait a week before a new one comes on, so since I’ve downloaded the episodes..)
Does anyone else every download TV shows? This is my 5th I think. With some I still watch them on TV as well, but once I get started on the downloading, I’m unstoppable! 4 more until the finale.. Will I make it before I leave?

Goodness, I didn’t know I had that much junk to take home with me. Luckily I came to Utrecht by car last Sunday, otherwise I would’ve had to take it all on the train.
I finally went shopping yesterday and I bought two pair of pants. One long, which can be made into 3/4th and one 3/4th. It wasn’t a ‘yay’ experience, but at least it’s something again. Also bought a sleepless top. Now I’m still pondering whether to look for some bathing wear or not. If I will, it will probably be from one of those postorder companies, at least you get to try your stuff on at home. I don’t think I will try to find anything, even though there is a little pool by the house we’re renting in Hungary.
I thought I left at a good time, so I would avoid the heavy traffic. I left at 16:00, but I didn’t come home until 17:15, while normally it takes around 40 minutes. I was listening to a Snow Patrol CD though, so I was nicely singing along to that. But when we were driving so slowly (I didn’t have a passenger, just ‘we’ as in the other people on the road and I) at a certain point a green van passed me. I saw it had dirty old men in it and they were looking at me (I was wearing sunglasses. just thought I’d share the detail
). When I passed them one of them waved at me. Foolish girl that I am, I waved back haha. Always good to know you are on the market for 50+ men.
Later there was a white van with also dirty old men in it and one of those guys kept staring at me. Eww, it was creepy and the guy was fugly, blegh.
Other than that, the jam never got really heavy, so I could speed up at times as well.
I thought I had stuff to blog about, but I seem to have forgotten about it. Probably wasn’t interesting then.
Damn, I really thought there was more
I guess I’m going to try to get my iPod working on this computer. Last week i couldn’t install iTunes, even though it said it was compatible with Vista. And then I need to figure out how I can make it play videos. It should be possible, since it’s a 30GB one (my dad won it..), but so far I haven’t been able to get it done. (Mark, I’d still love it if you could convert that SplashCast for me
)
I did save the files from the episodes 18-23 from Heroes on my iPod, so hopefully I can find some time to watch those before I leave.
Will you guys please click on my blog every now and then when I’m gone, otherwise I come back to 14 *dead* days
*edit*
Now I remember! This was posted on Helldot and it has some funny things. The text changes every minute though:

Oh see, now I think of something else too. Remember I had to wait ages at the city hall last week to get a new passport? Well, I could pick it up yesterday, but this afternoon when I left to go home.. I saw the piece of paper I had to bring in order to pick up my new passport… Somehow it completely slipped my mind to go pick up the damned thing!!! God I’m so stupid (and sleepy and tired, thank you!!) , so now I have to go back on Monday. I officially suck.

Ha, I know myself so well. I went to bed WAY too late yesterday (thank you damnit!), so I didn’t clean… I also wake up quite late so I had to rush rush rush. Luckily I took a shower and washed my hair late last night, so I didn’t have to do it this morning.
Just when I was combing my hair, my dad and grandma arrived to a clean-ish room. I even managed to vacuum…
I showed my grandma around, she liked my colours
and then we had some coffee/tea. After that we walked to the ‘Ledig Erf’, a sort of square (plaza?) with a cinema and several cafes. We had lunch at one of the cafes and then took the bus to the city-centre. By then it was almost 3 o’clock and we decided to do the boattrip over the canal. I had already done it with the introduction thing when I came to study in Utrecht, but it was still nice, because now I could tell something about what we saw and show some places of my uni. My dad and grandma really liked it too. It sucked that the weather didn’t cooperate though, it was a bit chilly and very windy.
The trip lasted an hour and after that we went for a drink. When we were walking through the cafe we had to walk through the shopping/passing through crowd. My grandmother isn’t used to very crowded places anymore and this place was also unfamiliar for her, so she was a bit scared. What didn’t help is that the cyclists here are maniacs. They cycle through the walking crowd, not holding back or anything. So this ass on a bike comes storming right upon us and doesn’t seem to going to stop. So my dad makes him stop and tells him to watch out because my grandma almost lost it. The guys threw out some swear words and we moved on.
A little later though, my grandma says something along the lines of ‘I should’ve pushed the guy off his bike, so he would’ve smacked his face’
Hahaha I couldn’t stop laughing, never had I heard such a thing from her. Too bad it couldn’t be translated accurately though, because she used a word for face that’s not very nice. That was truly great. She still has her wits hehe.
After the drink it wasn’t late enough for dinner yet, so I suggested we’d walk to the Dom Tower. Well, once you’ve seen it, you’ve seen it and there was no chance my grandma could walk up those stairs to 112m
(I did it twice, don’t think I could do it now though, I’m already exhausted after only 4 stairs *oops*)
It was still early for dinner, but we did take the bus back to Ledig Erf and went for a drink at the cinema. Then we got hungry and ordered food there. My dad and I had ‘chicken piri piri’ with couscous and my grandma had tilapia filet (some fish) with big shrimps. Very yummy.
My grandma started to get tired, so we finished up and walked back to my flat. Then they left.
So I had a really nice day
And there’s finally some life in this house again!!
Tomorrow I really have to go shopping though and I shouldn’t forget to buy a gift for my mum. It’s her birthday next week..
P.s. never watch Hable con Ella with your parents
