Now this is me then
So.. I guess I am supposed to tell here that I’m a 23 year old girl living in the Netherlands, studying theatre studies in Utrecht, right?
Well, that was that. Other than studying, I listen to a lot of music, I love going to festivals in the summer, I enjoy watching movies with my housemates, I’m crazy about my cats and in the weekend I still work at the customer service/tobacco counter of a supermarket (for 5 years now) in my ‘home town’.
Oh and just so you know, my name -Aranka- is Hungarian and means as little/much as gold. My grandmother was Hungarian and we still have family living over there. For the last 2 years I’ve been trying to learn the language, together with my brother, but it is very hard. I might do a very intensive course at a Hungarian university next summer.
That’s all for now, the rest will follow in my blogs. Thanks for reading!

How absolutely daring of you to start studying Hungarian.
A friend of mine does, too. He finds he needs to, because he bought a holiday home in Hungary.
Lucky bstrd. He always brings back wine from his own vinyard – there is an arrangement that the wine is taken care of, at a percentage.
By now, you will know perfectly well that Hungarian has little to do with the Polish, Bulgarian or Russian language. It’s more like Finnish – which is another very, very difficult language to learn.
But if my friend Rens can, you can. I know only one word of Hungarian…
Szia!
